My name is Dwaine Baptiste. I am an independent and very technical minded individual from the land of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean. I first started to show an interest in technology when we got our first family computer.

My love of cameras and everything film based came when I was about 15/16. I loved the thrill of plugging wires into consoles and sending and altering various signals. Whether it’s amplification, recording, interlacing/deinterlacing etc. everything that is digital was once done via a cable.

I consider myself to be a jack of many trades when it comes to technology. I possess many skills ranging from cameraman, editor and vision mixer. However most of my skills lie within the sound department. I own and am familiar with many pieces of sound equipment and enjoy exploring different ways of transmitting a signal from a source to a destination.

In the past few years I have been able to learn and gain experience with many different cameras for example the Sony FS and Canon XF ranges. I have worked on projects using various editing software such as Pinnacle Studio, Sony Vegas and Final Cut. I have also worked in small to medium broadcast environments where I have familiarised myself with various pieces of equipment such as vision, sound and lighting mixers.

To date I have worked with brands such as: Hilton Hotels, Novotel and Reprezent Radio. I am currently based in London and my camera of choice is a Canon 5D Mark III. I take advantage of the integration of the Adobe Editing Suite to complete my projects. My goal is to open up a small studio where I can do all my recording, editing, meet with future clients and maybe more.
